Pretty Little Thing Favourites - MAY 2018 (WHAT I'VE PURCHASED + 30% DISCOUNT CODE!)

The other day, I received an email from 'Pretty Little Thing', reminding me that it is my birthday soon and that I should treat myself with their 20% off code. So, me being the shopaholic I am and give myself any excuse to purchase clothes, I went straight on to their website to do my shopping. First of all; WOW. Pretty Little Thing are my favourite store for clothes, as they are extremely cheap yet always on trend. Compared to other stores, I think their balance between quality, price and on-trend style is perfect, so I always knew I was going to find some special gems, and seeing as I spent WAYYYYY more than anticipated, I thought that I may as well list you guys some of my favourite items that I found and purchased!

If you like what you see in this blog post, I have linked every item straight to it's page, all you have to do is CLICK ON THE ITEM'S PHOTO. For that little extra help, I have also been given a code for you guys to get 30% off the 'New Season Hitlist'! All you have to do is CLICK HERE, type in 'New Season Hitlist' in to the search bar and enter the code 'MORE30' at the checkout.

Red 80s Print Oversized Shirt - £25
I thought that, instead of leaving my favourite item to last like usual, I'll show you my new prize possession and it was too nice to not put first. I am in love with this shirt, and to be honest, I'm not sure why. I think because it is so bright and full of life it just makes me happy, also reminding me of festivals which I think I will probably wear this to. I bought a bandeau and cycle shorts which you will see further on in this post that I will probably wear under it, and I think this is such a staple, bold piece that will look so cute in the sun! I am loving the vintage vibes at the moment, so definitely a good pick.

Black Star Printed Tie Front Playsuit - £18
I'm super excited for to wear this playsuit; I think it's so cute and such a simple cut, yet the star pattern is so different that it makes it so far from everything else in my wardrobe. I purchased this significantly for my family birthday dinner as I think it'll look so cute with layered necklaces and chunky boots. It is such a simple item that is a whole outfit in itself, which is definitely things that I look for when shopping. The tie front is so on-trend, and, although it is polka dots that are the "it" pattern of SS18, I think this takes the trend up another notch.

Multi Acid Wash Shirt Dress - £28.00
This item I haven't actually bought yet, BUT, in my defence I did not see this until today when it came up on the 'What's New' page, so don't shoot me! I will definitely be purchasing this item as I am IN LOVE with the design. The combination of colours and the somewhat galaxy print that it portrays is so different and unique; I've never seen anything like it before. I am a huge fan of shirt dresses so this dress is definitely right on style for me, and the belt detail ties it all together nicely (no pun intended). I will definitely be purchasing this dress (once I actually have any money to my name after my last purchase). Rem,ember I have linked all items, just click on to the photo and it will take you to the page.

Mustard Cord Oversized Trucker Jacket - £45
This is another item that I haven't bought, significantly because I don't think that I would suit this as, for some reason, whenever I wear anything that is cropped yet oversized, it just looks like I've accidentally shrunk it in the wash or something (I think it's because I'm tall it just looks extra strange). HOWEVER, at the same time that I saw the acid wash dress, I stumbled across this and I just LOVED the material. I love that it is cord yet super shiny, as if like velvet, as it adds that vintage look to it yet with a new modern twist. They had this jacket in a few other colours (I was also incredibly in love with the plain black), but I thought they yellow was a great colour that would look good all year round, as the yellow brings a pop of colour but it isn't so bright that it couldn't also be worn when it gets a little chillier outside.

Helsa Black Slinky Bandeau Crop Top - £6
This item I had been looking at for a while, so just decided to finally purchase it. I have SO many black crop tops and bodysuits that it is actually a joke, but they are so versatile and can be worn with anything that I just love the practicality of them. I liked this purely because it was kind of a soft satin material which makes a change from basic cotton, and I have their bandeau bodysuit, so wanted something a little different. I like the idea of pairing this up underneath the oversized shirt that I shared earlier on in the blog post.

Basic Black High Waisted Shorts - £4
These are similar to the bandeau crop above, where they are a little slinkier than cotton, however are still just basic shorts (lol as if you couldn't tell). Again, I just bought these for practicality; wearing under dresses that might be a little short, putting them underneath dresses that are chiffon or a little see-through, or pairing them with my bandeau above and putting them under my oversized shirt (I've fully planned out an outfit that I'm starting to think only looks good in my head and will look terrible once I actually put it on). These are good just for throwing on, too, and because they are so basic they will go with anything and look great; wearing under an oversized T-Shirt will give that Kardashian vibe.

Black Acrylic Cat Eye Sunglasses - £8
A little story for you guys; the other day I purchased a few little cheap things from Boohoo, including these super cool, on-trend mini sunglasses that are extreme cat eye but literally just about cover your eyes. To cut the story short and to the point; if you have an incredibly square head like I do with a predominant jaw, DO. NOT. WEAR. SMALL. SUNNIES. You can tell the disappointment when I put these on and physically turned in to an ugly alien, so I had to send them back, but I know that cat eye sunglasses work well on me so I decided to purchase these as they are a little oversized and will 100% look better than the others did.

Nude Push Up Stick On Bra - £15
Another practical choice of purchase, I've been thinking of buying one of these for a while. I have incredibly small bust at 32B (or C depending on brand, can you believe), so I literally have no cleavage whatsoever. BUT, being the avid night out bra-stuffer that I am, I know that if I position chicken fillets down the side of my boobs and push them closer, I can create a pretty convincing bigger bust. So, after looking up these types of bras, I thought that I might as well try one and see if pulling my boobs together works in any way - check my Twitter/Instagram for any updates.

Blue Check Print Crepe Mini Skirt - £8 and Square Neck Crop Top - £8
Last, but not least, this co-ord I, again, haven't bought but I thought was SO cute. I recently bought a skirt from Boohoo that was pink pastel check (I posted a photo on my Instagram, go check it out) so thought maybe I shouldn't go too overboard with the pastel check items, however I was incredibly excited about this set. What I love about co-ords is that you can wear them together or wear them with other items, which is extremely versatile, and we all know I am the queen for versatility and practicality when it comes to fashion. The 90's are definitely back in time for summer, and what way to channel the late 90's than with this cute two piece (that literally costs £16 in total, WHAT A BARGAIN!)

Pretty Little Thing are definitely killing the game right now, and they have so much more items over on their website. Although this is not a sponsored ad that they have paid me to do, I am an affiliate for their website, BUT everything I have chosen and said is 100% true and I wanted to show you guys how much I love this website and their products (there's a reason I chose to be an advocate for them, duh). Remember if you wanted to check out any of these items just click on the photo, if you want to see any of the new stock that Pretty Little Thing have got in for this summer season and hot weather, you can click on any of the banners surrounding my blog page. Thanks for reading!
