PARTY PARTY - Glam Up Your Look For Fall with Urban Outfitters
Being such a high street retail enthusiast, reclaiming jobs in the industry, both past and present, I am totally aware of the new trends that are hitting this season surrounding metallic, sheer and glitter pieces that are perfect for the transition in to Autumn/Winter or the "party season" as we get closer towards Christmas.
If you didn't already know, my current job is working as a sales advisor for Urban Outfitters, so I have a lot of knowledge surrounding their stock and what trends are definitely in right now, so, I thought that I would pick out some of my favourite pieces from their collections that are perfect for this season. I understand that, in comparison to a lot of other retailers, Urban Outfitters is quite expensive but the quality of their clothing is at an all time high. Remember that if you are a student you can get 10% using your university card in store or through the UniDays website and app! I've tried to pick pieces that are in budget range and are of a reasonable price, as you guys know well enough that my blog is centred around finding a great bargain!
Kimchi Blue Claudia Shimmer Stripe Mesh Dress - £42
New in to their collection for this season, this shimmer dress is perfect for those that want a little sparkle but want to keep it simple and subtle. Pastel pink is definitely in this season, meaning this dress is definitely on trend, and the tie up back just gives that little extra detail on the dress. I love how they've styled the model using textures to create a more dressed up look, and metallic heels are the perfect accessory to any subtle shimmer piece. If you're heading to any type of party this season this is the dress for the job.
Pins & Needles 2-Tone Velvet Midi Skirt - £36
Like shimmer, sparkle and glitter, velvet has definitely made a comeback this season, and this midi skirt is one of my favourite pieces from Urban Outfitters out of their wide range of velvet. I have to admit, although it is in fashion I'm not a huge fan of the "crushed velvet" look, which is why I favour this skirt over the other pieces in their collection. The two-tone element of the skirt just gives it that fun flare, with a little flash of colour from the underneath that creates a more formal, fun party look. The slit down the side is perfect for the length and gives you the extra movement that you need, as well as showing off your amazing legs. As shown in the picture, this skirt is perfect with boots and has a very autumnal look that is great this season.
This top is perfect for those that are more casual but want that "fun factor" and sparkle that is so great this season. If you're not someone that attends many parties but still want the autumn look, or even if you do attend parties but don't dress up enough, these sheer, metallic-like tees are right for the job. They can be paired with anything; jeans, leather, even a cute bodycon, which I think makes this such a great piece. Being one of their cheaper products means that you are getting more for your money as you can wear this top anywhere! Popping to the shop? Put on this top and no one will bat an eyelid, only those noticing how trendy you truly are! These tops are one of Urban Outfitter's best sellers for this season, however, so if you want one I suggest you grab one quickly!
For that wild factor, this dress is something that will get any heads turning. I am loving bodycon midi dresses at the moment, especially those, like this one, that is still quite sultry with the exposed back, leg slit and plunge-neck front. Animal print is another thing that is definitely in this season, and a dress like this is very high fashion! Dressing it down with a long sleeve under-top and chelsea boots is great for those parties where you want to look good but you know the crowd isn't going to be very formal and "dressy". The velvet material gives it that extra edge and cements it's status in this season's fashion trends, making this the perfect piece for any fellow fashionista.
This dress brings all a girl's dreams in to one piece; sheer, glitter, metallic, sparkle and bodycon. The contrast of the top with dress creates a more extravagant look, yet making the look more casual, as imagining the metallic part of the dress on it's own, not many people could pull that off. The long sleeves give the dress that more edgy vibe and the sheer material means that the contrast is not as harsh as it would be if it was just plain cotton. I love this dress as I think it is the perfect representation of this year's party season and will be the show-stopper at any event attended. If you're someone that loves catching the eye of those at a party, this is the dress for you.
