Kira's Diary - Hi

I don't usually talk that much about myself personally on this blog as a lot of my content is focused around celebrities and leading ladies, however I thought I might bring a personal element to my blog by uploading a post every fortnight titled 'FOR REAL?!' which will focus on some real life issues that not only do I face, but do so many others around the world. From anxiety to university to the future, I will be discussing a new topic each week and my own personal thoughts that I have on the subject!

To introduce myself, if you do not know already, my name is Kira, I am 19 years old and I am currently a university student living in Brighton, UK. I am studying Business Management with Marketing, a subject that I have studied for a number of years, and one that I have enjoyed the most.
I don't have many hobbies, apart from writing this blog, and aren't a part of any teams, which kind of sucks but I'm okay with. Socialising and going out with my friends on the town is something I extremely enjoy, and has increased while being at university, as my hometown is small and its difficult to get around when you don't have a car (although I can drive, sigh).

I've always been a huge fan of music, hence the creation of my side blog, 'Iridescence Music', which hasn't been getting as much attention as this one however I'm trying to change that. When I was around the age of 12 I discovered bands like Fall Out Boy and Paramore, and started liking them in secret because back then I thought it was totally uncool to like that sort of thing. However, as I got older, I started to realise that it shouldn't matter what others think, you should like things that you actually truly like rather than just pretending to appease the norm. That being said, around the age of 16 I started listening to bands, such as All Time Low and You Me At Six, which has now grown to the likes of Lower Than Atlantis, Bring Me The Horizon, Neck Deep, The Story So Far, etc.
Don't get me wrong, just because I like this sort of music does not mean that I don't listen to anything else; I have been a HUGE fan of One Direction since I was 14 and I have seen 5 Seconds of Summer live 5 TIMES (bit excessive, I know). I've attended concerts for those, like Ariana Grande, The Vamps, etc. however I have to admit that I definitely prefer the "rougher", more intense gigs as they hold a lot more character and you can let go a lot easier. My favourite gig of all time has to be Lower Than Atlantis, not only because they are my favourite band (and Moose Blood were their opening act) but because the atmosphere and crowd was just so incredible! Saying this, I feel like a strong competitor is also Bring Me The Horizon, however I had to leave the crowd as I extremely hurt my back, leading to me having to stand at the bar on my own for the whole concert, bit of a downer.

Enough about me, I just wanted to introduce myself so you had a clearer picture of who I am and I could introduce this new series that I will be uploading every fortnight. Look out for the next one, (hopefully the content will be more enjoyable than this one).
