Coachella Style Steals

Coachella is probably one of the biggest events in America for summer and parties, so it's not surprising when the likes of Vanessa Hudgens as well as Cara Delevingne and sister Poppy attend such an event like this. Coachella is most famous for the fashion and style of those attending, from Vanessa's signature bindi to Kendall Jenner's oversized statement nose chain, presenting Coachella as a fashion runway rather than a music festival. It seems that the "indie" notch is turned up 1000% when it comes to Coachella, with stars trying to up their game every year. It seems that for the likes of Vanessa, she has become the face of Coachella and other music festivals due to her creative and unique style, which we see other stars mirroring in order to stand out from others (which seems pretty ironic).

Vanessa Hudgens

This is by far my most favourite outift worn by Vanessa at Coachella this year, and I think it is hard to top from other celebrities. The outift is very "hassle-free" at the same time as being bold and stated, howvever, like usual, when worn by Vanessa, accompanied by her golden and tousled locks, looks care free yet elegant. Perfect for the Coachella style, to recreate this look I would choose the 'Camilla Embelished Printed Maxi Dress' found at matchesfashion.com which is not cheap at £545 (I tried my hardest to find a cheap alternative to her dress however her style is so unique I cannot find one to standard; a completely cheap option would be the 'Mela Dark Pink V Neck Paisley Maxi Dress' found at New Look for £25). Pair this with chunky gold and silver mis-match rings (I'd choose TOPSHOP or Accessorize looking for cheap high street retailers) as well as colourful bangles such as turquoises and blues. To achieve Vanessa's look, use salt spray to achieve those effortless beach curls as well as finishing the look with a signature bindi (or to mix up celebrity styles, try out Kendall Jenner's use of "rhinestones" across the forehead).

Shenae Grimes

Completely different to Vanessa, Shenae sported a more casual look, pairing an "Indiana Jones" top with black Chelsea boots and denim shorts. Shenae has always been a style icon of mine (ever since I became obsessed with 90210 when I was 14) and her look is probably one of my favourite from Coachella this year as it is different to the clothing of other celebrities as well as being an outfit which you can pull off on a regular basis for a cheap price. To follow her look, the Blue Mottled Denim Shorts from NewLook.com (£29.99) are an easy and cheap alternative, mirroring her look by wearing these alongside an ADTR muscle vest found at PULP (£19.99). For her boots I would go for the ASOS Acoustic Leather Ankle Boots for £48. By accompanying this look by a small cross body bag, like Shenae or a black leather duffle bag, as well as knotting my hair in a bun, the look is completely Coachella-ready.

Selena Gomez

When I first saw what Selena sported at Coachella I wasn't a fan, although I did it agree that it was very Coachella. Unlike both Vanessa's and Shenae's looks, Selena's isn't as "wearable" on a regular basis, however, to achieve her same look however tweaking it slightly so it is more wearable, I would choose the Crochet Village Midi Dress available from ASOS for £45, accompanied by TOPSHOP's Autumn Black Buckle Boots for £82. Selena accompanies the look with minimal/no jewellery, however accessorises with a pair of sunglasses, like these found on ASOS as well as a fedora; Selena chose brown, however I would either chose brown or black to accompany this look.

Her second look is more achievable, choosing a pair of Levi's Shorts (£45) and, to follow Selena's style, wearing a Fluorescent Crop Cami Top from TOPSHOP (£6), or, to carry on the Coachella style, wearing a black crop bodycon top with the Black Oriental Floral Kimono from River Island (£40).

Kylie Jenner

It comes to no surprise that the Kardashians are some of the most stylish and uniquely-dressed people on the planet, but a few years ago nobody thought that Kylie and Kendall Jenner would take over from their sisters. The Jenner sisters' style is completely different from their Kardashian siblings, with their look being labelled as edgy and "grunge" whereas there sisters, especially Kim Kardashian, are portrayed as very pristine. Kylie showcased her incredible style at Coachella last week in a small black matching number and studded bumbag, accessorised with heavy jewellery, especially around her neck. This look can be copied throughout the New Look Crochet Back Playsuit found at ASOS.com priced at £14.99, or, following the 2 piece style, you can opt for ASOS Shorts in Elephant Print with the matching Kimono. Kylie's style statement for this outfit is her jewellery, choosing a chunky silver necklace with a chocker-type necklace to tie together the outfit. The Beaded Cascade Chocker from TOPSHOP creates this affect to the standard of Kylie's outfit.

I also loved Kylie's idea of accesorising her look with feathers, bringing the Coachella vibe to her outfit, which suited the likes of Shenae with the simple print tee, denim shorts and chelsea boots combo.

Kendall Jenner

Still sticking to the Coachella theme, Kylie's older sister Kendall also looked amazing, however sporting a less "grungy" look, opting for bright colours and summer prints. Like Kylie, Kendall opted for heavy accessorising, especially around her neck. The Triangle Plaque Necklace from TOPSHOP works wonders, like Kendall's, however linking back to Kylie's style, adding "edge" to the outfit. Selena and Kendall have both shown that crops and bralets are a must-have for the Coachella scene, so this Crochet Bralet from ASOS, accompanied by the Boyfriend Jean Shorts from MANGO will give you a cheap and easy Coachella-style look, ready for everyday wear as well as being pretty enough for those party invitations.

Kendall finished her look by adding cowboy boots, which is an easy way of creating a summer look. Accompanied by anything from denim shorts to a full on maxi, the likes of Kendall have shown that cowboy boots are in this summer, especially on the festival scene. You can buy Kendall's exact pair of boots here.

With other outfits, Kendall has shown major forehead bindis are in with her style cheklist, therefore you can buy this Red Forehead Bindi from TOPSHOP for only £8.50.

So these were my favourite looks from Coachella so far, although others have impressed me also, from the laidback looks of Cara and Poppy Delevingne, who always effortlessly look flawless, to Katy Perry's colourful dyed locks. Hair chalk and colour has been seen as a popular trend amongst Coachella this year, with both Kylie Jenner and Katy Perry sporting a green colour ombre-style hair do, with other attenders opting for pinks and blues. Another one of my style icons, Laura Whitmore, was also photographed at the festival, sporting a rather simple body con crop with brightly patterned shorts, as well as the likes of Emma Roberts and Julianne Hough gracing our presence.

Overall, it has been made clear that festival style is definitely just a bunch of celebs trying to out-do each other on the unique scale, as well as looking fabulous while doing so. Chunky and over-accessorised jewellery seems like a summer must-have, along with small over-shoulder bags and duffle bags being a key part of your festival checklist. Also, no.1 rule of copying celebrity fashion; remember to wear a bindi! [cheap bindi set from TOPSHOP here.]

Question of the Day: Who was you Coachella Queen 2014? (rhyme definitely intended)
